Build events that move people,
Blow past every goal,
and keep your participants
coming back year over year.

You're a Non-Profit Pro who knows your events could do more

more retention, more revenue, more impact.

You just need the time, the strategy, and the right people around the fire to make it happen.

Camp Beyond is that fire.

Spark the flame

APRIL 20–22, 2026

HALIBURTON, ON

A 3-day retreat for Non-Profit Pros responsible for events, marketing, sponsorship,

and everything in between — from across North America.

Deep, focused work on building memorable, high-retention events that don't just meet your fundraising goals — they shatter them. You'll grow your events, impact your organization, and evolve alongside a community of people who are doing exactly what you're doing

and want to see you win.

This isn't your average conference.

This is the retreat where you stop collecting notes you'll never look at and start building the strategy you'll use on Monday morning.

Here's what most people don't realize: The events people can't stop talking about aren't created on event day. They're built through small, thoughtful moments throughout the entire journey—

from the moment someone registers to long after they cross the finish line.

Most event planners focus 95% of their energy on what MUST work and

skip the 5% that creates the magic people remember.

The problem? You already know this.

You've been to conferences. You've taken notes. You've had insights.

But somewhere between the last session and being back at your desk, those ideas get buried under urgent emails and the next crisis—and everything you learned becomes a nice memory

instead of real change.

Camp Beyond is different. We translate knowing into doing.

This is three days and two nights where you'll work on YOUR events with expert guidance, build relationships with people who become your support system, and

leave with completed work—not just a long to-do list.

Your experience with us starts the moment you register, not when you arrive at camp. And it continues long after you cross the finish line at Camp Wanakita.

Because you shouldn't have to do this work alone.

You'll be guided by people who've been in the trenches. Who've produced events that raised millions. Who understand the pressure you're under. Who know how to help you move from knowing to doing.

What if you could collapse the gap between knowing something and doing it?

That's what happens at Camp Beyond.

You listen. You share.

You're guided by experts who've been where you are.

You DO the work that transforms your events.

Save my spot - Limited spots available

This is for you if...

Whether you're the Executive Director leading the strategy, the Event Manager in the weeds of logistics, the Development Coordinator juggling fundraising and planning, or the dedicated staff member who somehow became the event personif you work on events at your non-profit,

this retreat was built for you.

Come alone or bring your team.

Either way, you'll leave different than

when you arrived.

 â€‹

  • You're a leader tired of the frustration cycle: last-minute changes throwing off your plan, difficulty keeping sponsors engaged, board members making demands that quite frankly don't make sense—and you're ready to take back control.

  • You're an event manager or coordinator who knows deep down your events could be better—and you're done watching other organizations create buzz while your registration page feels like a ghost town. You want events people genuinely want to be part of.

  • You don't give yourself—or get—the time to plan ahead between events, which means you're constantly reacting instead of leading. You're ready to get clear on the WHY of your event so every decision becomes easier.

  • You're willing to step away from the daily chaos to do the strategic work—because when you grow personally and professionally, your events transform, and your mission wins.

It doesn't matter what your title is or what your job description says. If you work on events at your nonprofit, you'll learn something new, share what you know, and meet people who get it.

IMG_0859.JPG

Peer-to-peer campaign volume grew 18% in 2025.

But the average raised per participant dropped from $308 to $244.

More events. More participants. Less money per person. That's not a donor problem — that's an experience problem.

If this trend continues, your events will work harder and raise less. Your team will burn out. Your mission will suffer.

Events aren't just fundraising tactics—they're the heartbeat of the non-profit ecosystem.

They're where your community gathers, where strangers become advocates, where your mission moves

from abstract to visceral.

But somewhere between the vendor contracts and the registration software,

we forget why we're doing the event—or doing the event the way it is.

You can't fix this with another list of ideas you never implement.

You need guided action. You need to translate what you know into what you DO. You need to be around people who get it while you're building the thing. And you need to step away from the daily chaos to make it happen.

Here's the reality: You have two choices.

Keep running your non-profit events exactly as you are—hoping this year will be different, reacting to last-minute changes, staying buried in the day-to-day chaos—and watch your team burn out while revenue per participant

continues to drop.

Or step away for three days and two nights, do the strategic work you've been putting off, and upgrade your events

in the way you know they're asking for.

One path leads to the status quo or worse. The other leads to events that people can't stop talking about—

and a version of you who feels confident in your decisions and your plans.

The question isn't whether you can afford three days away.

It's whether you can afford another year of the status quo.

What Successful Non-profit
Events Actually Need

Your non-profit pro community gets built here.

Maybe you're the only person at your organization focused on events. Maybe you have a team, but they're stretched thin across ten other priorities. Either way, you're also expected to be a community builder, a copywriter, a marketer, a customer service expert, a strategist, and a miracle worker on a limited budget.

That's exhausting and it's isolating.

Investing time around other non-profit  professionals who "get it" isn't just nice—it's necessary. These are priceless relationships that can impact your organization and your career for years to come.

At Camp Beyond, you're surrounded by people who speak your language. Who understand why you panicked when registration was slow. Who've cried during set-up day. Who celebrate when it all comes together. This is your community and investing time with them will transform how you see your work.

Step away from the daily chaos—and into the clarity your events deserve.

You can't see the forest when you're standing in the trees. Stepping away isn't indulgent—it's essential for growth.

It's where you ask the harder questions:

  • Why is your event structured the way it is?

  • Why did you choose that format, that timeline, those components?

  • Are you designing with intention for YOUR mission, or copying what feels safe?

  • Why are you doing THIS specific event versus something else?

Camp Beyond gives you the time and space to think strategically without the daily chaos. To collaborate without deadline pressure. To refine your approach without the noise of operations.

And here's what makes it different:

You don't just listen. You DO.

Personalized expert guidance,

built around your specific events.

This is where you'll work with me and a group of camp counsellors—experts from the non-profit field and beyond—who will look at your specific events and give you personalized feedback based on what you actually need for a profitable, high-retention event.

We'll dig into your registration experience, your event-day moments, your participant communications, and your follow-up strategy. You'll identify exactly where small, intentional details create disproportionate impact—the touches that make participants stop and think, "Wow, they really paid attention."

Here's what most people miss: Your event doesn't begin at the start line. It starts the moment someone registers; the confirmation email, the countdown communications, the arrival experience, the moments during your event and the follow-up that keeps them connected.  Throughout that journey, you're creating moments that make people laugh, cry, and cheer.

 We'll build it all—together.

This is not your typical Conference.
We translate learning into action.

Get Clear on Your WHY and Your Strategy

Start with the fundamental question: Why do you do events? Not the surface answer ("to raise money")—but the real answer. Then go deeper: Why THIS event? Why is it structured this way? When you're clear on the WHY, every decision becomes easier—including how to push back when board members want something that doesn't serve the mission.

 â€‹

Build the Relationships That Fuel Your Work

This isn't networking—it's community building. You'll spend three days and two nights working alongside non-profit professionals who become your go-to support system. The people you meet here aren't just contacts—they're the ones you'll text when registration is slow, call when you need a reality check, and celebrate with when you crush your goals.

And here's why we chose camp as the venue: Camp is where community is built. You park the car, step into nature, unplug from the daily chaos, and remember what it feels like when an experience moves you—because that's what makes events unforgettable. YMCA Camp Wanakita is a non-profit, so you're supporting another mission-driven organization while you're here. Consider it your case study in real time.

Build Your Event Strategy—From Idea to a Plan You Can Actually Execute

Multiple working sessions where you take what you're learning and apply it directly to YOUR events. You'll write communications, map your participant journey from registration through follow-up, build systems, and get feedback from experts and peers who've been in the trenches.

You'll walk out with your event strategy complete—not a to-do list and good intentions.

Ready to implement the moment you're back at your desk.

This is how insight becomes action. This is how knowing becomes doing.

Meet your Head Counsellor
Amy Milne

I've been in the trenches for over 20 years—I see you.

I know the pressure of putting everything into an event and still wondering if the results justified the stress. That was me over 20 years ago, and I promised myself there had to be a better way.

THE NUMBERS:

• $500M+ Raised across three countries

• 20+ years of experience

• $12.6M+ Raised through events our team has evolved

I helped introduce a new model of peer-to-peer fundraising to Canada with The Weekend

to End Breast Cancer—which has raised over $100 million to date. I've produced The Ride

to Conquer Cancer across seven cities and two countries.

At SickKids Foundation, I created The Great Camp Adventure Walk from scratch—1,000+ participants,

$1.3M raised in year one. I led the evolution of Scrubs in the City from 225 participants

to 800+, tripling revenue. Today it sells out year over year.

But here's what gave me the real edge: years in hospitality, where I learned that while the logistics absolutely matter, the magic happens in the small, intentional moments that make people feel something.

Eleven years ago, I founded Beyond Fundraising Inc.

Since then, we've supported 50+ non-profit organizations, changing the way they

think about their events—not as logistics projects, but as experiences that transform

communities.

And I host Real Talk for the Non-Profit Event Pro Podcast, where I have honest conversations about what works: the marketing, the sponsorship, the peer-to-peer fundraising strategies, the moments that matter.

Here's my commitment to you: Your journey doesn't start when you arrive at camp.

It starts the moment you register. And it doesn't end when you pull off the dirt road at

Camp Wanakita. I've lived the loneliness of non-profit event work and I want to be here

for you—supporting you, cheering you on, problem-solving with you.

Camp Beyond is the retreat I wish existed. It didn't — so I built it with you in mind. You deserve expert guidance, a community that has your back, and support as you

implement what you've learned.

Because you shouldn't have to do this alone.

What you'll Leave with

 Your event strategy, complete.

Not someday. Not notes about what you should do. Your participant journey mapped from registration through follow-up. Communications written and refined with expert feedback. Touchpoints identified where small, intentional details create massive impact. Systems built that you can use across all your events this year. You leave ready to implement.

Confidence that comes from clarity.

Because you've stress-tested your ideas with experts and peers who've been in the trenches. Your WHY is clearly defined so every decision gets easier. You'll stop second-guessing and start leading—with the ability to push back when board members want something that doesn't serve the mission.

A community of non-profit event pros who have your back.

The people you meet here aren't just contacts—they're the ones you'll text when registration is slow, call when you need a reality check, and celebrate with when you crush your goals.

The calm of a leader who actually has a plan.

You'll leave feeling regulated, grounded, and confident—because your non-profit knows what it's doing and so do you. No more reacting. No more reinventing the wheel. You'll have practical systems that tell you exactly what to work on, when, and why—frameworks you can use whether you're running peer-to-peer fundraisers, galas, golf tournaments, or all three.

Your investment: $997 all-inclusive.

Accommodations, all meals, programming, evening events, adult beverages, camp swag,

and a few surprises we're not spoiling. Everything.

Here's the Real Talk You Need to Hear

Most event professionals will say they're too busy to step away. They'll keep doing what they've always done, collecting notes they never implement, waiting for the "right time" that never comes.

If you keep learning without doing, nothing changes.

Insights fade. Good intentions get buried under the next crisis and your events stay exactly the same.

Camp Beyond collapses the gap between learning and action. Between knowing what you should do and doing it. Between collecting ideas and building systems.

The question isn't whether you can afford three days away.

The question is what it's costing you to keep postponing the work that matters.

Your events can be the ones people talk about years later. Your participants can become raving advocates. Your mission can be fueled by experiences that truly transform.

But it requires action. And action happens when you have guidance, community,

and space to do the work.

Three days. Real work. Real progress. Real transformation.

It starts April 20th.

Jen, PLAN CANADA
