Prior to joining Beyond, Lisa spent seven years at Scotiabank as a Commercial Banker. It was through her volunteer work with organizations such as United Way and Rethink Breast Cancer that Lisa discovered her passion for events. After completing the Event Management Program at Ryerson University, Lisa had the good fortune of meeting Amy Milne through a mutual friend. Lisa is detailed-oriented and brings her desire for order and organization to Beyond as our logistics specialist.
Lisa earned her B.A. in Economics from McGill University, which is also where she met her husband (and best friend), Jake. She is a mom to Jack and Mia and is constantly entertained by the funny things that come out of their mouths. Lisa is a fan of hot cups of tea, fish tacos, freshwater lakes, the NFL, a glass (or two!) of red wine and laughing through life.
Amy’s effervescent personality, energy and enthusiasm inspire everyone she meets and everything she touches. A lover of human beings, who believes they can do anything they set their minds to, Amy leads by example.
With well over 450 events under her belt, she isn’t slowing down anytime soon. She is on a mission to help organizations raise millions of much needed funds and to engage thousands of good humans one event at a time, to ensure the world is changed for good.
While working for many of Canada’s largest non-profit organizations, she lead teams responsible for the creation and execution of such signature events as the inaugural Weekend to End Breast Cancer and Ride to Conquer Cancer, two of Canada’s largest multi-day fundraising events; The Underwear Affair; The Great Camp Adventure Walk benefiting SickKids and reinventing Relay For Life for the Canadian Cancer Society to name a few.
Since the inception of Beyond Inc., many new successful events have hit the market, such as, The POGO PJ Party and Pajamas & Pancakes in support of POGO; The Fierce Femme 5K, and West Park's, UnCork, UnWind UnTapped to name a few. The team also passionately works with non-profit teams across the country to take their existing events beyond.
How does Amy recharge her batteries? At home with her husband Eric and sons Spencer and Jack. She attributes family, friends, food, fun and fine wine as the secrets to her great life.
Rachel brings her fundraising and event experience from her time at the Canadian Cancer Society on the Special Events Team and SickKids Foundation on the Corporate Team. She earned her B.Comm in Marketing and Human Resources at Saint Mary’s University, where she played on the Varsity Field Hockey Team.
Fueled by tea and wine, Rachel is a passionate fundraiser and believes that one event at a time, we will create positive change in many lives. Born and raised in Victoria, BC, she is slowly adapting to Toronto winters.
